The ultimate five-minute crowd-pleaser. Crispy fried potatoes tossed in Jagota's Tangy Blend with tamarind, yoghurt, and fresh herbs - ready in 15 minutes and impossible to stop eating. This is street food at its best.
Why Jagota's Spice Co. Chatpata Masala? The Tangy Blend's amchur, black salt, and pomegranate powder combination creates that signature chaat flavour in one sprinkle - no need to source six separate ingredients.
Ingredients
- 500g potatoes, boiled and cubed
- 3 tbsp oil (for shallow frying)
- 2 tsp Jagota's Spice Co. Chatpata Masala
- 2 tbsp tamarind chutney
- 2 tbsp yoghurt (skip for vegan)
- 1 small red onion, finely diced
- 1 tomato, finely chopped
- 1 green chilli, finely sliced
- Handful fresh coriander, chopped
- 1 lemon, juiced
- To serve; sev (crispy chickpea noodles)
Method
Heat oil in a wide pan on high heat.
Add boiled potato cubes and shallow-fry until golden and crispy on all sides, about 8 minutes.
Remove from heat. While still hot, sprinkle Jagota's Spice Co. Chatpata Masala over and toss to coat.
Transfer to a serving dish. Top with diced onion, tomato, and green chilli.
Drizzle tamarind chutney and yoghurt generously over the top.
Squeeze lemon juice over, scatter coriander and sev on top.
Serve immediately — chaat waits for no one.
